In the second match day for Group B, on Thursday, June 17, 2021, Brazil beat Peru 4-0 at the Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santos in Rio de Janeiro. The scoring was pretty evenly distributed throughout the game as the first would come at the 12th minute, and the last coming at the 93rd minute of added time. Alex Sandro would score first with a tap in, followed by Neymar in the 68th minute, who shot across goal and placed it in the lower left side of the Goal. Midfielder Éverton Ribeiro would score his first international goal in the 89th minute as he would tap in a pass from Richarlison. To close out the game, Richarlison would also get a goal for himself as he would kick the ball in while sitting on the ground after missing is first attempt at putting it past the keeper.
Tite, the Brazilian coach, would again use this game as a time to experiment with his lineup, not only changes goalies (Ederson instead of Allison), but he would switch up half of the attacking force throughout the game. Both games the experiments would work out as this is now their second clean sheet, and the second game where at least one of the substitute forwards would score.
Peru would end up playing without their star striker, Paolo Guerrero, as he is suffering from tendinitis and has been taken out of their Copa América squad. This would prove to be a big loss for Peru as, without Guerrero, they would only have 2 shots on target the entire match.

Something to Note:
With Neymar scoring, he now ties Messi, with each having a goal so far. This is something fun to note as you will see a lot of comparison between the two players throughout the tournament, not only in soccer news, but on tv, via the announcers. The reasons being they are the two best players, playing for rival teams, and are the favorites to win the tournament.
