Barça delivers another decisive win and moves to the top of the table. Real Madrid scores four in back-to-back matches. Atlético takes third place with a win over Sevilla.
Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal ended his rut with a brace, scoring their second and fifth goals. Anthony Gordon had another strong performance, forcing an own goal and assisting Raphinha in the second half.
Cameras focused on Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus, who is on the verge of finalizing his €10 million signing to the Catalan side. The only weakness was Barça’s goalkeeper, who gave up both goals due to poor judgment and positioning.
Real Madrid is heating up, scoring four goals in each of their last two matches. Mbappé scored his first hat trick of the season against Real Sociedad. Bellingham got his second goal of the season in their last game against Málaga. So far, his form with the England national team has followed him as he looks to play with more freedom and a commanding presence.
Álex Baena moved into second place on the league’s scoring list and helped Atlético move into their place in the standings. In less than four minutes, Baena got his first goal, and took control of the game. He dropped back to start plays, finished another outside of the box, and took home the man of the match.
Anthony Gordon still looks to get his first goal of the season while fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Gabriel Jesus. Real Madrid are still looking to incorporate their new signings as it is still the old Madrid taking care of the scoring.
Madrid and Barça are tied on points, with Barcelona ahead by two in goal differential.
